Tirdas 28th Last Seed

I returned to the lodge late last night - too late to write in this journal.  I have spent this morning reading the books I found in Fort Farragut yesterday.  There were four on the history of the empire.  They gave brief accounts of the reigns of Tamriel's rulers since the time of Tiber Septim up until Uriel Septim VII.  The very man I saw assassinated early yesterday morning.  I also read a book about Cheydinhal.  The author seems to have also had a bad experience with the locals.  I did not at all agree with their review of Newlands Lodge and the owner, Dervera.  She is one of the few hospitable people in this town.  Still, I think I'll keep quiet about the money I made from selling things I found in the fort.
