Whilst I am here in Cheydinhal I have decided to have a look around. The first local I met, Dervera the inn keeper, was nice enough. She rented out a room for me for only 10 gold. Unfrotunately it seems to be that she is the, or one of the very few, nice people in this town. I spoke to Orcs and Dunmer who didn't even give me the time of day. Even an Imperial guard only had kindness enough to tell me if I step a single toe out of line I'll be fined to my teeth.
I did find some friendly people in the Chapel of Arkay, however, as well as a beggar outside. I'd have given him a coin for some food if I had some to spare. I write this entry from a pew in the chapel before I head out of the town gates to find out what's nearby. Perhaps I'll find something good.
